Updating Our Book Shelf!

So, I don't know about any of you, but sometimes it's hard for me to choose a book for the month, so I've been thinking that we should update our list of books to read on the blog.

I think we should all find at least three books that we would want to read or might be interested in reading some day that we can put on our list of books to read, then, if we don't know what to pick for our month we can just select one off of the list.

We all know people that like to read, so I say we just ask around for reccommendations and then we can add them to our list.

Okay, so I put this one off for a while, but for September I thought we could read Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card.  I hope you enjoy it!

Summer Break

So Kimberly and I were talking and we think it might be good to take a month off.  So no book in August.  And Lori do you want to take September?  Please let us know as soon as you choose a book let us know!

Book for July

Rebecca of Sunnybrook Farm is the book I chose for July because it is a very easy and fun read. I think it will remind us all of the little girls we once were and the dreams we had as children. This story reminds me a lot of the Anne of Green Gables series which are some of my absolute favorite books to read so even though you're busy in July I really encourage you to pick up and get lost in the beautiful and sometimes funny world of Rebecca's with me!

So i don't know how to change the reading list.  Sorry it's so late. For the month May will be

The Sheltering Sky by Paul Bowles.

No guarantees, but it sounded good.

Austenland 2

Like Kimberly, I also finished reading Austenland. It was a really fun read! I think when the movie comes out we should make some girls night plans...

The entire time I was reading this book I kept thinking about what it would be like to go to an 'Austenland' and act the part of a lady etc. It would make me feel so ridiculous! I think I even had a dream about it one night...but don't worry, I am not obsessed with Jane Austen stories.

I really enjoyed this book and look forward to reading anyone else's comments. Oh,  Kimberly and Hannah, I will be back in June and I think it's my turn to do book club meeting so I will be in touch with you both!
